# Trend Sessions

It doesn't get better or easier than trading a trend session.

On a trend day even if you're in the wrong side, you can switch and make it all back and then more. The biggest mistake you will make is taking a 100% gain when it goes for 500%+.

When price moves in one direction the entire session, deep into the red area of the chart.

Generally this means:

🐂 BULL TREND - BL +4 and higher

🐻 BEAR TREND - BL -4 and lower

RIGGED makes it easy by showing you tradeability and strategy.&#x20;

Look at the difference between these two sessions:

[10/23/24 ](https://app.rigged.ai/session/2024-10-23)- FULL SEND + TREND and BEAR AMG (average max gain) all over 100%.

versus

[10/03/24 ](https://app.rigged.ai/session/2024-10-03)- NIGHTMARE + Mean Reversion and AMG is all below 100%

In this article we'll help you identify a trend and show the basic strategy.

## Identifying a Trend

### Volume 110%+

We want volume to be a minimum of 110% and going up as price approaches the yellow area.

If volume is going down, there's a strong possibility the movie will reverse and it will be mean reversion.

[SPY 10/01/24](https://app.rigged.ai/SPY/2024-10-01)

Volume is going down and price bounces heavily back to the yellow area.

<figure><img src="/files/3UQINCvgSKJuiEsOWqyw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

[TESLA 11/08/24](https://app.rigged.ai/TSLA/2024-11-08)

Volume is 200% and steadily increasing the entire session. Price follows.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/QlGzM6gCBXQPlP6m1qiV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

[QQQ 06/17/24](https://app.rigged.ai/QQQ/2024-06-17)

Price hits BL +3 and volume explodes higher going with price.

### Price Hits BL +/- 3 at the Open

The open (first hour) is the most volatile part of the session.

This is where Wall Street kills traders who are late by violently reversing price action.

{% hint style="success" %}
If we are going to have a trend day, then price needs to hit BL +/- 3 at the open and stay there.
{% endhint %}

[QQQ 01/08/24](https://app.rigged.ai/QQQ/2024-01-08)

<figure><img src="/files/XlMQzkQ8PwPtEGwRqAk1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Price goes BL +3 and never pulls back before going into the red = bull trend

[SPY 09/03/24](https://app.rigged.ai/SPY/2024-09-03)

<figure><img src="/files/CWHXrfvYyQQRnfZdBNzy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Price goes to BL -3, never breaks back to the blue and eventually leads to a mega nuke.

Do not chase BL +/-3 at the open.&#x20;

This is a good spot for a reversal and it happens a lot.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you are BL +/- 3 and it goes to 2 and does not immediately bounce and go back to 3, get out of the trade. It's going to reverse.
{% endhint %}

[SPY 07/25/24](https://app.rigged.ai/SPY/2024-07-25) Reversal

<figure><img src="/files/arMKISokPJULnK8YvxS5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

We nuke to BL -3, but then it rips straight up before eventually coming all of the way back to BL -3.

### 🔥 On Fire Alerts

If you're busy and can't watch the charts, the best indicator this is happening is when you receive an ON FIRE notification.&#x20;

A lot of ON FIRE alerts = trend (bullish or bearish).

On Fire is triggered when an alert returns 100% in under 1hr. This only happens when there's a 3+ strike move at the open.

This can be viewed at the top right of the session bar.

<figure><img src="/files/JEfb1G02PuazXKImf6IS" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

At 10:16 we get the ON FIRE alert for SPY.

This is when the 256 BEAR BOMB first returns 100%.

Volume is 110% and we are BL -3.

Possible trend day and we want to follow the price action. Entering a BEAR BOMB at any of these times paid massively.

## Trading Trend Sessions

### Follow Price Action

On a trend day we want to follow the price action, this means buying dips on a BULL trend or shorting rips on a BEAR trend.

Typically this means entering trades in the yellow area

{% hint style="success" %}
Look to enter on a pullback

BULL TREND = BULLS BL +3 to +4

BEAR TREND = BEARS BL -3 to -4
{% endhint %}

[QQQ 02/02/24](https://app.rigged.ai/QQQ/2024-02-02) - BULLS BL +3 to +5

<figure><img src="/files/iYHxeSujXKaSGKKYytBV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

[SPY 09/03/24](https://app.rigged.ai/SPY/2024-09-03) - BEARS BL -3 to -4

<figure><img src="/files/3BRiZ5oH1CvnnCbbScdR" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Hold Position Beyond 100%

You will make the most money on trend days and you will also lose the most potential gains by selling too early. This is difficult and takes a lifetime to learn.

{% hint style="info" %}
On a trend day you must leave on a few contracts as free runners!
{% endhint %}

9/11/24 was one of the most insane sessions ever.&#x20;

That is a 978.48% return turning $157 into $1,699.00.

<figure><img src="/files/a2Ju0A2UBUs7QagxRLrg" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you leave on 2, you're turning $300 into $3000.
